Last night, I attend the Arthur & Albert Studio to see the first solo show of my friend, performance artist and original Child of !WOWOW! Miss Mille Brown. She is mostly known for her technicolour yawn, where she regurgitates rainbow coloured vomit on to walls, objects, clothing, canvas' and even people.

Yesterday's performance consisted of Mille vomiting bright pink puke onto a white canvas, accompanied by a projection of Jez Tozer's 'Films for SHOWstudio 2' starring Mille as part of SHOWstudio's Political Fashion series.

Since Millie’s debut performance in Berlin in 2007, alongside other members of !WOWOW! and renowned performance artist Mark McGowan, Mille has collaboratively worked with SHOWstudio, Jez Tozer, Matthew Stone, Gareth Pugh and Adham Faramawy and most recently with Lady Gaga for her Monster Ball world tour video back drop, shot by the legendary vision-maker Nick Knight, where she vomited bright green all over Gaga's white couture dress.

Millie will be collaborating with SHOWstudio again later this spring, as part of the forthcoming Inside/Out exhibition in the SHOWstudio SHOP. Brown will execute two LiveStudio performances including a new venture; the construction of a mythical taxidermy beast and MORE puking!

Colin Christian: Inner Space @ Opera Gallery

British artist Colin Christian, currently has a collection of his original anime/fetish-sex-doll style sculptures on show at the Opera Gallery on Bond Street. He finds inspiration in old sci-fi moves, pin-up girls, supermodels, ambient electronic music and H.P. Lovecraft. In his work, Christian aims to take the exaggerations and perfections of cartoons and make them into a realistic 3D form.

Christian originally started out through his interest in movie special fx, producing fiberglass figures and displays. In 1998 he produced his first production figure, a towering 7 feet tall and anatomically correct anime girl named "Suki".

Later Christian took up commercial sculpture producing pieces for stores, museums and various businesses. He made a robot for the American Heart Association which was interviewed by Katie Couric on the Today show and he constructed the worlds largest mousetrap for pest control company Truly Nolen, which is now featured in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Vaniloquence is Fanny and Jessy's second unisex collection for the androgynous, launched last week at 'This Space', the London Fashion Week pop-up shop of photographer Christopher James, founder of weknowwhatyoudidlastnight.com.

A Dark and slick collection with grunge influences and modern sports silhouette. Intricately constructed pieces made up in a variety of materials such as corduroy, knitwear, mesh, ghetto net, leather, tape deck, denim waxed cotton, jersey, power net and Lycra.

Vaniloquence, meaning vain or foolish talk, is the latest collection from design duo Fanny and Jessy, who graduated from The London College of Fashion only last year. Their debut collection, ‘I Hope You Die Soon’, which t-shirts of the same name have a cult following, has been worn by performers such Groove Armada, Rihanna, Sarah Harding of Girls Aloud, Bourgeois and Maurice, Bloc Party and Kap Bambino.

Last week at London Fashion Week, Cassette Playa premiered the worlds first ever Fashion Augumented reality show. Software written especially for Cassette Playa's wearable Augumented Reality (AR). Garments featuring CP symbols programed to be activated by the models interaction, generating computer 3D animations.

'Augmented reality (AR) is a term for a live direct or indirect view of a physical real-world environment whose elements are merged with (or augmented by) virtual computer-generated imagery - creating a mixed reality'.

My friend, Swedish designer Annika Berger met German artist Robert Knoke two years ago. They recently joined forces to collaborate on a project based around Knoke's black and white drawings, especially his work of designer Walter Van Beirendonck, which line drawings were the inspiration for Berger's S/S10 collection.

the project will be on show next month at New York's Armory Show/SCOPE art fair held at Manhattan's most famous cultural icon, Lincoln Center, with a glass facade pavilion situated in Lincoln Center's Damrosch Park. The fair will feature galleries from around the world including Germany, Ecudour, Poland, Korea, Spain, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Switzerland, UK, Taiwan and Tokyo. Presenting solo and thematic group shows alongside museum-quality programming, collector tours, screenings, and special events.

SCOPE opens 3rd March until 7th March 2010.

Inigo Bilbao's CATs project was the idea to experiment with biomedical imaging and the unexplored creative potential of medical hardware and software when applied in combination with 3D modelling software and rapid-prototyping machines.

Using data obtained from a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) or from a MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), Bilbao can depict both the changing outer appearance of a human model and the more solid and internal frame of its bone structure.

This asymmetrical origami-inspired mirrored ankle boot is the creation of Brazilian designer Andreia Chaves. The Her unconventional shoe concepts, including the 'Prism Shoe' and 'Velcro Shoe' are influenced by her time growing up in chaotic Sao Paulo, a city full of contrasts, diversity, and her constant exposure to different visual inputs. After studying texture and visual effects in Florence, she decided to experiment with different and sometimes impractical materials in her footwear design, saying she sees "beauty in chaos".

Antwerp's Groninger Museum, yesterday opened its doors to a major solo exhibition of the work of my favourite designer Bernhard Willhelm and his partner in crime Jutta Kraus.

The exhibition features an extensive collection of their unconventional fashions from over 30 collections, including men's and women's wear created during their 10 year partnership. After studying at the Royal Academy for Visual Arts in Antwerp (Willhelm) and the University of Westminster, London (Kraus), they joined forces in 1999 to begin a clothing line under Willhem's name. Right from the outset they created a unique brand with an individual style and unworldly imagination.

If you are unable to make it to Antwerp, a book is available to buy on the Groninger website (29.50 Euro) with more than 500 illustrations celebrating the past ten years. The book also offers a previously unpublished overview of the duo's work, and contains contributions by author Ingborg Harms and fashion Theorist Francesca Granata.

The exhibition runs until 11th April 2010.

A couple of weeks ago, I visited Sadie Coles HQ on Dover Street to see Sarah Lucas' Nuds. Her work frequently employs visual puns and bawdy humour and this collection of sculpture and photographic images was just what I expected. I wasn't that interested in the photography, naked girls with 'penises', but I did want to see her skin-like sausage sculptures made of stockings stuffed with wadding. Up close, they are quite grotesque and seem to have a mutated human form of some kind, like undeveloped giant fetuses or genetically modified human-worm hybrids. Go and see it quick, 'cos the exhibition ends this weekend!

Harmony Korine's Trash Humpers.

Experimental cult director Harmony Korine, best known for the sceenplay Kids (which he wrote when he was just 18) and his movies Gummo, Juilen Donkey-Boy and Mister Lonely, has been a prominent figure in independent film throughout the past decade. This weekend, at London Film Festival, there will be a public screening of his highly-anticipated new film Trash Humpers, a kind of OAP 'Jackass' with REAL weirdos.

Filmed in the visual style that mimics a worn VHS home video, the film features a "loser-gang cult-freak collective" and their whereabouts in Nashville Tennessee. They literally hump trash cans, defecate, masturbate and sing nonsense verses. They seem mentally challenged, or at least emotionally and socially stunted. These characters were inspired by people Korine observed in Nashville as a child. He has described them as "the neighborhood bogeymen who worked at Krispy Kreme and would wrap themselves in shrubbery, cover themselves with dirt, and peep through the windows of other neighbors."

The Public Screening of Trash Humpers will be shown at the 53rd BFI London Film Festival on October 24th @ NFT1, 9PM and October 26th @ Vue Screen 9, 4.15PM.

This is the video look book shot on my roof terrace for Komakino's Spring/Summer 2010 collection. Directed by Italian art duo Luigi & Luca, known for their controversial and sexually explicit photo-performances. In their work, Luigi and Luca play the main subject of their usually intimate and pornographic images, each taking turn to shoot one another using a tripod, meticulously assembling the various parts during the editing process.

I came across Canadian artist Allyson Mitchell on Magic Pony, an online shop and gallery for contemporary art. Two of her ceramic piece's called called Humanimals caught my eye - Poodley Poo, a weird and slightly ugly human faced French poodle sat on a blue cushion and Puss Puss, a Persian-like cat with a human head (which I believe to be Allyson's), just the kind of thing I would have on my mantelpiece!

I also love her furry 'ladybeast' sculptures Lady Sasquatch, a feminised version of the Canadian mythical creature Sasquatch or Bigfoot. Mitchell created Lady Sasquatch with her hairy breasts, armpits as a parody to question some of the values that we hold as common sense - like women should have no body hair, small thin white bodies are the only ones that are sexy and that those bodies are constructed and reproduced solely for the pleasure of the heterosexual male gaze.

Mitchell is a maximalist artist working predominately in sculpture, installation and film. Since 1997, she has been melding feminism and pop culture to play with contemporary ideas about sexuality, autobiography, and the body, largely through the use of reclaimed textile and abandoned craft. She also performs extensively with Pretty Porky and Pissed Off, a fat performance troupe, as well as publishing both writing and music.

When they say two heads are better then one, Lucy McRae and Bart Hess have proved this to be true. The duo, based in Holland have collaborated on project called LucyandBart, working within the worlds of fashion, architecture and performance, they use various materials from paper to tights to balloons and bubbles, creating future human shapes discovering ways to mutate and manipulate the body into a form of art or a genetically modified humanoid.

These are the experimental costumes created by Italian costumier Sonia Biacchi, used for the more avant-garde theatre and ballet performances. Two of Biacchi's famous costumes have been purchased by French couturier Pierre Cardin, famous for his 'space-age' designs. Biacchi's work is still exhibited in his Paris museum.

Miroslaw Balka's How It Is @ Tate Modern.

Polish artist Miroslaw Balka has been unveiled as the tenth artist commissioned in The Unilever Series for the Turbine Hall at Tate Modern. The work, called How It Is, is a humongous steel chamber resembling a 13m-high and 30m-long shipping container, raised on 2m-high steel legs in the middle of the gallery. From pictures, the interior appears as a black, open void, facing the end wall of the Turbine Hall and swallowing the light. Gallery staff are expecting to fit around 60 visitors at a time into the looming darkness, where they will struggle even to see the people next to them. Who knows, who or what you will bump into!

Balka's work is influenced by his Catholic upbringing as well as the fractured history of his native country. In recent years, he has focused on the Holocaust as a permanent scar on the collective memory. He refers it to 'A box in which we can place our miseries' . This all my look and sound rather dark, but I can't wait to see it, 'm sure it's going to look and feel pretty intense!

How It Is opens to the public from tomorrow until April 5th 2010.

Tim Burton: Trick & Treats.

It's nearly Halloween, my favourite time of the year! And photographer Tim Walker has conjured up an eyeful of terribly tasty treats in October's Magical Fashion issue of Harper's Bazaar.

In anticipation of Tim Burton's major retrospective at New York's Museum of Modern Art in November, Walker has shot a 13-page spread inspired by the director/producer/writer/artist's dark and quirky films, such as Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands and the Nightmare Before Christmas. The shoot features Burton himself and creations by the usual suspects - McQueen, Chanel, Balmain, Vuitton, Gaultier, YSL, Margiela and a clear inflatable bubble costume incasing a black $2695 D&G dress designed by my friend Thom Ravnholdt!

I am pleased to see i-D have paid homage to artist Linder Sterling on the cover of their current issue (fall 2009). Shot by Tim Walker with an editorial featuring a Richard Nicoll and Linder Sterling collaboration of kinky corsetry and suspenders including pieces from Nicoll's A/W collection adorning prints exclusively designed by Sterling, modelled by Saranne Woodcroft and Richard and Linder themselves. Sterling is a radical feminist and a well-known figure who played an important part during the Manchester punk scene in the 1970's and a of course, a bloody fab artist!

Known for her photo-montages, which often combined images taken from pornographic magazines with images from women's fashion and domestic magazines, particularly those of domestic appliances, making a point about the cultural expectations of women and the treatment of female body as a commodity. Probably her best-known pieces of visual art is the single cover of Buzzcocks' debut single 'Orgasm Addict'), an image of a well-muscled female torso, her face covered by a domestic iron and her nipples replaced by red lipstick lips, which I remember also being on the flyers for London uber cool club Nag Nag Nag back in early 00's.

Artist Terence Koh, Chinese born, Canadian bred, is renown for his monochromatic installations and ritualistic performances. Currently, he has transformed the ground floor of Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac in Paris into an all-white environment, set for an imaginary opera in which he plays the main character alongside eight white clad performers, in one of eight acts, all part of his new solo exhibition 'Adamsonias' at the gallery.

The first act has already taken place, on October 6th. The eighth and final act will be during the FIAC (International Art Fair) on October 22nd. The story is loosely based on the tale of the Little Prince with reference to Samuel Beckett's Waiting For Godot and the French New Wave, punctuated by experimental live music and song, including a piece of music played by Koh, using only the white keys of the piano, in a reference to Anton Reicha, who used such methods of composition.

Leaving his home in New York, Koh moved to Paris before the opening, taking inspiration from the cities architecture, atmosphere and sensuality to compose his experimental tragic opera. He created drawings, collages and photographs around the scenes of his unorthodox production. In his work, Koh explores such diverse subjects as mythology, religion, identity, power, fashion and sexuality.

Adansonias is on until November 14th 2009. Koh's second performance of eighth act, will be at 8PM on October 22nd 2009.

From 14th October 2009, Alison Jacques Gallery will present Robert Mapplethorpe - 'A Season in Hell' (selected works). Mapplethorpe is famous for his large-scale, highly stylized black and white portraits, Polaroids, flower photos and homo-erotic images. Fuelled by a passion for classical sculpture and strongly influenced by his repressive Catholic upbringing he quickly found a way to express his ideas about sexuality, love and death through visual symbolism.

I met C.J. Bailey aka Drums of Death during Peaches' Euro tour back in May when he was supporting her and Charlie and I were Roadies. He is really Scottish (yeah his accent) and he is really nice. But when he gets on stage, he adopts his ghoulish 'voodoo-zombie' like persona, a intense raucous and a touch confrontational character, bringing an energetic performance of Trouble and Bass tunes mixed with live snares, mutant power-pop and warp-house. We likey!

McQueen's S/S 2010 show 'Plato's Atlantis', themed on the Greek Philosopher's sunken city, featured some fantastical fishy footwear...

The show opened with a film by Nick Knight starring Brazilian supermodel Raquel Zimmermann laying on sand and covered in snakes. It also featured some giant robotic video cameras and premiered Lady Gaga's new single "Bad Romance".

Models clad in silk printed and signature cut creations, gingerly made their way down the catwalk like aquatic sea creatures adorning amazingly massive MON-STAH heels. 12-inch elevated shoe-boots, shaped like crab claws/dinosaur 'hoofs' covered in scale-like sequins and reptilian skin patterned leathers. SHOES. MAY-JAH!!!

WAHOO!!! Next week, Gina and Monika the demented Deutsch duo known as Cobra Killer, will be in London town to perform a one-off gig at Chop Chop Club, alongside whacked-out Japanese band Drum Eyes and the legendary Angie Reed!

The girls first came together in late 90's, starting out in Alec Empire’s Digital hardcore movement, having a couple of legendary releases ("Right into a Kick for More" recently voted as one of the top 500 singles of all time). Since then, the girls have donned their wine satined nurse/military uniforms, ripped hold-ups and gaffer-taped stripper heels, continuing their assult on a mix of experiMENTAL psychodelic-electro-pop, 50's psych-pop and their love of 60's psych-Rock.

The new album 'Uppers & Downers' will be out on 23rd October on Monkia Enterprises. Featuring the like of Jay Mascis, Jon Spencer, Thurston Moore and and German choirboys Die Prinzen.

Icelandic artist Hrafnhildur Arnardottir aka Shoplifter, the creator of Bjork's amazing hair mask featured on the cover of her 2004 album Medulla, will present his first London solo exhibition 'Burn' this week at East London’s Trolley Gallery.

For several years Shoplifter has worked exploring the use and symbolic nature of hair, and its visual and artistic potential. It started as a discovery in an antique shop, a lock of hair encased as a keepsake and shaped as a flower, and has since evolved as an exploration of hair's meaning - from strength, self-image and beauty, to vanity, decoration and fashion. Shoplifer works in print, sculpture, murals and other types of medium.

Yesterday, I took Elle and Michael, the Philly remixers behind Designer Drugs to the Saattchi Gallery at the Duke of York's HQ in Chelsea. It's the first time I have been there since it moved from Country Hall on the South Bank. Hirst, Emin or the Chapmans were no where to be seen, but there were some interesting exhibits on show from both UK and International contemporary artists, such as Rachel Harrison, Ryan Johnson, Guerra de la Paz and Stephan G. Rhodes.

I loved Korean artist Yi Hwan-kwon's 'Jangdockdae' a group of freeze frame sculptures, which look squashed and blurred, tricking your mind into believing your vision is distorted...

But, the best of all, was Chinese artists Yuan and Peng Yu - two of China's most controversial artists, renown for working with extreme materials such as human fat tissue and live animals. Their piece, 'Old Persons Home' is an installation of human-like models of decrepit OAPS looking suspiciously familiar to world leaders, endlessly moving and bashing into each other in their electric wheelchairs.

I'm sure you have heard... Make up maverick, Ms Ales Box will be unleashing her much-anticipated new book and exhibition next month, collaborating with photographer Rankin, who shot the images for the book. Releasing the first ever extensive collection of her intricate and unconventional images of beauty in fashion.

Alex works with some of the biggest names in fashion, creating her cutting edge looks for designers such as Gareth Pugh, Karl Largerfeld, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney and Chanel. And leading the field in experimental beauty she is a regular contributor to Vogue, Numero , I-D, Dazed and Confused Another Magazine and V.

Alex is also the creative director of leading cutting edge makeup brand Illamsaqua, and has been shaping and creating the brands image and product from conception.

The book, Alex Box will be available at bookshops from October 22 at £50. The exhibition will be hosted at Rankin's new Kentish Town gallery, The Annroy, on October 23rd till November 22nd. GO SEE!!!

Anish Kapoor @ The Royal Academy.

Yesterday, in my lunch break, I speed-walked up Saville Row (Whilst smoking a fag) to the Royal Academy of Arts to see the new Anish Kapoor exhibition. Luckily I didn't have to spend 12 quid to get in, as my mate Nicky got me in for free! (Cheers Nick!) In the Annenberg Courtyard is the 'Tall tree and the eye', a major new sculpture, a cluster of giant mirrored stainless-steel balls reflecting and distorting its surroundings.

I really went to see the monumental work 'Svayambh', the title of which comes from a Sanskrit word meaning ‘self-generated’. Svayambh is a monstrous and sinister piece which moves slowly through the galleries across the entire breadth of Burlington House. Because of its size and colour, It made me think of a train heading to Auschwitz or death train full of people compacted together to form a large block of moving flesh, squeezing its way through the galleries large ornate doorways on its way to hell. This all might sound a bit dark, but it is actually quite beautiful.

I also wanted to see 'Shooting in the corner', which consists of a gas powered cannon firing (every 20 mins) large amounts of burgundy coloured 'gunk' through a gallery archway that will build up against the walls and floor over next 3 months.

Other pieces include, a number of new and previously unseen works, a select group of Kapoor’s early pigment sculptures, beguiling mirror-polished stainless-steel sculptures and cement sculptures on display for the first time.

The Anish Kapoor exhibition is at the Royal Academy of Arts until 11th December 2009.
